OPEN DOOR has had the distinct honor of having some exploratory meetings with the children's departments in governments in China, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, and the Philippines. We provided smoke detectors for the sleeping quarters of all youth in juvenile detention in the Kingdom of Thailand. We also supported three orphanages in Vietnam, providing a ton of rice each month, school uniforms, shoes, school supplies, and more.
We would like to continue to help the 260 children in the three orphanages in Vietnam, and become more involved in providing social services in the other nations, when invited. However, the current recession has destroyed our donor base and funds simply are not available.
